A downloadable game

The first time I saw Heroes of Might and Magic III was at a friend's house, back in 2013. He explained the game to me, then booted it up and played it with me for the entire day. However, it wasn't until 2019 that I actually bought the game for myself and started playing all the campaigns. Only then I really got fascinated with the sheer scope of that game, the plot, the art, everything.

After compiling up some ideas for my factions, I decided upon the name of my next project: Worship and Warfare. It would be my own homm-like game, which extra inspiration taken from Lords of Magic - the closest thing I've had played before, which explains the worship part.

Gameplay is almost exactly the same as HoMM3, with an extra resource - Favor - being generated based on how many cities you possess and how developed they are. Favor would then be used to acquire faction exclusive units or improve faction specific mechanics.

I was doing such a intense project entirely by myself, in my spare time, but I had to drop out of it sooner or later. At the end I realised that I could eventually program any game I wanted, but I'm not willing to give so much of my time for a single project, while leaving art and lore behind with excuses like "those will only be needed later".

Development lasted through almost a year, and each month I would make a short video depicting my latest accomplishments. I still have those videos - the screenshots you see were actually taken from them.
