Aventuras de Mauricio na Terra do Metal

What started as a joke project to mock a guitarrist frend, ended becoming a massive work towards creating an full fledged RPG. Well, at least in regards to the plot. Ok, the plot was just nonsense. Anyway, here is Aventuras de Mauricio na Terra do Metal (Adventures of Mauricio in Metal Land).

Mauricio decides that he had spent too much of his life on a city where he just doesn't fit, and destiny puts him in motion towards a new life at Metal Land. After living a couple of blissful months there, an hostile musical genre emerges from somewhere unexpected and starts taking over the major cities. The Musical World is once again at peril, but in a twist of fate Mauricio becomes the leader of the resistance.

Development was made by a two-person team during our last year of high school. Our routine was basically throwing jokes at each other until "good" ideas were found. Said ideas would be instantly written out and then reproduced on the project as soon as we would get back home.

However, the project was cancelled mostly because it was a scope too great for a two-person team facing college entrance examinations. Also, some of the features we dreamed through an entire year were simply not possible within the limitations of RPG Maker 2003, which further demotivated us even after we were accepted and then entered college.
